What happens if an EIGRP network path fails and DUAL cannot locate a suitable successor?

Choose one out of five:
(1) Routing cannot continue because there is no path to that network.
(2) The backup table will be searched.
(3) DUAL will put the router into the active state.
(4) All packets going to that network will be routed to the default gateway instead.
(5) All packets going to that network will be dropped.
